He was born Michael George Pavasco in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.  During his musical career he used several stage-names, i.e.> Mickey Moore.  The name which he has used for many years and the name that really stuck with him is MIKE MONTANA.  The photo above was taken around 1980, at the Wurtemburg (Perry Twp) Fire Hall, SR 288, Ellwood City, PA.  The show was sponsored by Tony Lee Promotions.  This particular Monday night Mike Montana and Tony Barge were the opening act for the legendary Ernest Tubb & The Texas Troubadors.  The musicians on stage with Mike in this photo include: Ronnie Dale (bass), Pete Mitchell (lead guitar), and Johnny Cox (pedal steel guitar).  Last we knew Mike makes his home in Butler County, PA, and performs with the New Castle based band "Shalico".
